Dr. Josipa Šarić is a Lecturer in Law at the University of Kent's Kent Law School. Her research examines feminist approaches to international law, transitional justice mechanisms, and transnational feminist movements, with particular focus on post-conflict societies in the Balkans.
Her research interests include:
- Feminist critiques of international law and transitional justice
- Gender-sensitive reparations in post-conflict settings
- Transnational feminist solidarity movements
- Intersections of gender, nationalism, and law
- Women's activism in post-socialist contexts
Dr. Šarić's recent work analyzes the manifestation of the #MeToo movement in Croatia, exploring challenges of building meaningful transnational feminist solidarity across different socio-political contexts. Her doctoral research examined Croatia's transformative reparations framework for survivors of wartime sexual violence.
