Joshua Welsh

Joshua Welsh is a Professor in the English Department at Central Washington University, specializing in rhetoric and technology. He holds an MS (2009) and PhD (2013) from the University of Minnesota. His research focuses on intellectual property, open-source software, user experience, accessibility, and online technical writing pedagogy, including the rhetoric of 'smart phone patent wars' and integrating open-source practices into technical writing education.

He contributed to designing the Accessibility and Disability Studies Program (ADSP), particularly ASP 435/535 Accessible Information Design. He serves on the ASP Steering Committee and advises on online pedagogical frameworks.
