Joshua Shaevitz is a Professor of Physics & Biophysics at Princeton University, affiliated with the Department of Physics and Lewis-Sigler Institute for Integrative Genomics. He holds leadership roles as co-Director of the Center for the Physics of Biological Function and Director of Graduate Studies for the Biophysics Program. His research focuses on precision measurements in biological systems, including bacterial cell shape, active matter, and animal behavior quantification. Shaevitz earned his Ph.D. in Physics from Stanford University and completed a Miller Fellowship at UC Berkeley.
