Joshua Seachris is an Associate Teaching Professor in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Notre Dame. He earned his PhD from the University of Oklahoma in 2010 and joined Notre Dame in 2012 after positions at Wake Forest University. His administrative roles include serving as Program Director for Notre Dame's Center for Philosophy of Religion (2012-2023) and Executive/Managing Editor for the Journal of Analytic Theology (2020-2025).
His research examines fundamental questions of human existence including the meaning of life, value theory, and philosophical approaches to religion. His work explores how narratives and holistic perspectives inform our understanding of life's purpose and meaning.
Professor Seachris's publications systematically explore existential themes through multiple philosophical frameworks.
