Joshua Ronen is a Professor of Accounting at the Leonard N. Stern School of Business, New York University, where he has been a faculty member since 1973. His work bridges academic research and policy, with significant influence on accounting standards and corporate governance.

He has also served on the editorial boards of numerous leading journals, including The Accounting Review, Journal of Accounting Research, and Management Science. He has consulted as an expert witness in securities litigation and advised on reforming the accounting profession, with his views recognized by legislators and media. He has held leadership roles at NYU, including Director of the Vincent C. Ross Institute of Accounting Research and President of the Price Institute of Entrepreneurial Studies.
Ronen has lectured at institutions worldwide, including Tel-Aviv University, University of Chicago, London School of Economics, and University of Toronto, reflecting his international academic engagement.
