Joshua Puzey is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biology at the College of William and Mary, where he has been since 2014. His research focuses on plant biology, genomics, and molecular ecology, with a particular emphasis on understanding hybrid zones, floral pigmentation mechanisms, and evolutionary dynamics in plants like Mimulus (monkeyflowers) and Asclepias (milkweeds). He holds a B.S. in Biology & Horticulture from Virginia Tech (2008) and a Ph.D. in Biology from Harvard University (2012). Prior to his faculty position, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Duke University under the NSF National Plant Genome Initiative.
