Previously, he held roles at Lancaster University and the University of Melbourne, advancing expertise in extended reality (XR) and human-AI teaming.
Education: PhD in Human-Computer Interaction from the University of Melbourne (supervised by Frank Vetere and Eduardo Velloso).
Research interests include:
- Augmented intelligence and proactive AI systems
- Multimodal interaction (eye tracking, gesture, speech)
- AI ethics and explainable systems
- Extended reality (XR) applications
- Human-AI collaboration in strategic tasks
Recent work trends show a focus on:
- Eye-based interaction in immersive environments
- Implicit sensing for adaptive interfaces
- Explainability in personal sensing technologies
Grants & Advising: Supervised students at undergraduate/postgraduate levels, contributing to publications in AI and HCI. Actively involved in collaborative projects with industry.
