Joshua Nasielski is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Plant Agriculture at the University of Guelph. His research program addresses agronomic challenges faced by farmers in eastern and northern Ontario, focusing on the physiology and management of field crops like spring cereals, corn, soybeans, and legumes.

His research integrates agronomy with crop physiology, emphasizing nitrogen management, yield stability under water stress, and sustainable agroecosystems. Collaborations with the Winchester, New Liskeard, and Emo agricultural research stations are a core component of his work.
The articles in his bibliography span agronomy, ecology, and agricultural economics, with specific focus on nitrogen uptake mechanisms, agroforestry systems, and rural livelihoods in Southeast Asia. His work addresses both temperate crop systems and tropical socioeconomic dynamics.
