Joshua Hutchens

Dr. Joshua Hutchens serves as an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Missions and Ministry at the University of the Cumberlands. He is also the Associate Pastor of Discipleship and Missions at Overland Church in Fort Collins, Colorado. His academic work focuses on New Testament theology and missiology, and he has authored books such as *Persecution and Cosmic Conflict* and *The Bible Guidebook*. Dr. Hutchens co-founded Gospel Life in 2016 to equip pastors in Malawi, where he and his wife, Stacy Leigh, served as missionaries from 2018 to 2024. He remains active as the president of Gospel Life’s board. Previously, he pastored churches in Kentucky and served as a missionary in Moldova.

His professional roles include theological editing for Zondervan Bibles, contributing to projects like *The Grace and Truth Study Bible*. Dr. Hutchens holds a family-oriented lifestyle, enjoying hiking and culinary pursuits like smoking meat on his Weber Kettle Grill. He resides with his wife and five children.
