Joshua Blodgett is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biology at Washington University in St. Louis. His research focuses on interdisciplinary questions at the intersection of bacterial small molecule production, spanning biology, chemistry, and ecology. The Blodgett Lab investigates Streptomyces bacteria, renowned for producing bioactive natural products like antibiotics, and explores their untapped biosynthetic potential through sequencing-based discovery.
