Josh Siegel

Josh Siegel is an Assistant Professor in the Computer Science and Engineering and Electrical and Computer Engineering departments within Michigan State University's College of Engineering. His work focuses on interdisciplinary research at the intersection of Internet of Things (IoT), autonomous systems, and cybersecurity. Dr. Siegel holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from MIT (2016).

Research interests include pervasive sensing, connected and autonomous vehicles, AI ethics, and gamification in education. He has pioneered projects like Robofest and Virtual Art Viewing for Education (VAVEL), demonstrating real-world impacts of technology in STEM education and disaster response.
