Josh Johnson is a fifth-year doctoral candidate at Purdue University's Brian Lamb School of Communication and a newly appointed Assistant Professor of Communication at Olivet Nazarene University. He holds a B.A. in Communication/Rhetoric from Biola University (2019) and an M.A. in Interpersonal Communication from Purdue University (2021).

Josh's research focuses on interpersonal communication within families, particularly examining parent-child dynamics, adolescent disclosure behaviors, and the role of communication in identity formation. His dissertation investigates adolescents' willful disclosure about pornography to parents, while other projects analyze parental communication's impact on youth identity and memorable messages from fathers to young adults.
