Dr Josh Bourne is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Monash University's Centre for Inflammatory Disease (part of Monash Health Victorian Heart Institute). His research focuses on neuroinflammation following ischaemic stroke, investigating the interplay between thrombosis, coagulation factors, and inflammation. He completed his PhD at the University of Birmingham (UK), studying platelet receptor CLEC-2 in thrombosis and inflammation, resulting in six first-author publications. Relocating to Melbourne, he trained in intravital microscopy under Associate Professor Connie Wong.
