Josh Beverly is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Quantitative Analysis at Hamline University. His academic focus spans labor economics, rural/regional economics, data analytics, and econometrics. He teaches business analytics courses, emphasizing statistics, data visualization, and time series analysis.
Education:
- Ph.D. in Economics, Virginia Tech (Agricultural and Applied Economics Department)
- Bachelor's degrees in Education and Comprehensive Mathematics, Concord University
Research Interests: Josh investigates labor market decisions, economic mobility, and data dynamics for rural and vulnerable populations in the U.S., with recent work on labor force participation and the discouraged worker effect in Appalachia.

Prior to Hamline, he served as an adjunct professor and led consulting projects as a fellow and team leader in Virginia County initiatives. He prioritizes student engagement, aiming to instill lasting informational, intellectual, and cooperative skills.
