Joseph Vitolo is an Associate Professor at the Dental College of Georgia, Department of Restorative Sciences, with a dual focus on clinical dentistry and academic leadership.

His academic roles include serving as Program Director for the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency Program (2017-present) and leading curriculum reform initiatives as Chair of the Curriculum Reform Taskforce (2016-present). He also holds administrative assignments as Associate Dean, contributing to institutional effectiveness and interdisciplinary simulation center planning.
As an educator, Vitolo teaches courses spanning fixed prosthodontics, diagnostic planning, operative dentistry, and professional development, with recent responsibilities including AGDR 7033 (AEGD Didactics) and RSTP 5692 (Prosthodontics Clinic II).
