Dr. Joseph Quinn is an Assistant Professor of Sociology at the University of South Carolina and Research Fellow at Duke Global Health Institute. His research examines how networks and social environments shape beliefs, behaviors, and inequalities through social psychological and cognitive mechanisms. He directs the Dynamic Environments and Meaning Change Lab.
Education: Ph.D. in Sociology from Duke University (2022), B.S. from College of William & Mary (2011).
Research Areas: Social psychology, cognition, cultural evolution, organizations, group processes, and stratification, with projects on occupational identities during COVID-19 and network-based cooperation.
