Joseph Eremondi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Regina, specializing in programming language theory and design.
His research develops tools to enhance usability of dependently typed programming languages, which enable mathematical specification and verification of code behavior. Current projects include gradual dependent types, semantics for pattern matching, termination proof techniques, and compiler error diagnosis.
Eremondi's publications advance formal foundations for programming language design while addressing practical usability concerns. Recent work establishes theoretical foundations for gradual dependent typing and develops ordinal notations for termination verification.
He teaches courses in programming language concepts and formal verification, including courses on Agda-based program verification.
