Joseph Donnelly, a Professor in the Physical Therapy (PT) Programs Campus at the College of Health Sciences in Miami, FL, is a distinguished academic with over 30 years of clinical experience in orthopedics and manual physical therapy. He is board-certified as a Clinical Specialist in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy (OCS) and has worked across diverse practice settings.

Dr. Donnelly has contributed to scholarship in myofascial pain and movement impairments and served as Editor for the third edition of Travell and Simons’ Myofascial Pain and Dysfunction: The Trigger Point Manual.
He has presented nationally on integrating clinical reasoning, pain sciences, and dry needling into physical therapy education. His scientific awards include the Honorary Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists (FAAOMPT HON) and the Catherine Worthingham Fellow award in 2020.
