Joseph A. Giaime

Joseph A. Giaime is Professor of Physics and Astronomy at Louisiana State University (LSU), Department of Physics & Astronomy within the College of Science. He concurrently serves as Observatory Head of the Laser Interferometer Gravitational-wave Observatory (LIGO) in Livingston, Louisiana, through an institutional agreement between Caltech and LSU. His career spans experimental gravitational wave physics since the initial LIGO installation phase.
