Josep Domingo-Ferrer is a Full Professor of Computer Science at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili (Tarragona, Catalonia) and holds the UNESCO Chair in Data Privacy. He has been Head of the Department of Computer Engineering and Maths since 2006 and was Dean of the School of Engineering from 2002-2005. His research focuses on data privacy, data security, and cryptographic protocols with an emphasis on balancing privacy, security, and functionality.

Research Interests: Data privacy, data security, statistical disclosure control, cryptographic protocols, microaggregation, and privacy homomorphism. His work addresses critical challenges in anonymization, secure data processing, and privacy-utility tradeoffs.
