Joseba Zubia is a Professor in the Department of Communications Engineering at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) since 2001. He serves as the Director of the Applied Photonics Group, recognized as outstanding by the Basque Science System.
- Research Interests: His work spans fiber-optic sensors, polymer optical fiber fabrication, and quantum optics, with collaborations across Europe, Japan, and the U.S. He has authored over 150 SCI-IF journal articles and 250 conference communications.
