Jose Walteros is an Associate Professor in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, University at Buffalo. His research focuses on Large-Scale Optimization, Integer Programming, Multilevel Optimization, Logistics, Interdiction, and Defense Applications.

His group GAMMA has mentored numerous graduate students who have successfully defended dissertations and moved to prestigious postdoctoral positions at institutions like Carnegie Mellon University and University of Pittsburgh.
As part of the University at Buffalo faculty, Dr. Walteros contributes to seminar series and student mentoring programs.
