Jose Rowell Corpuz is an Assistant Professor (Teaching Focussed) at the University of Warwick's Department of Economics. He is a Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy and contributes to the Centre for Competitive Advantage in the Global Economy (CAGE) and the Development and History Research Group. His teaching portfolio includes courses such as EC104: The World Economy: History and Theory, EC108: Macroeconomics 1, and specialized modules like EC313: The International Economy in the Twentieth Century. His research focuses on historical economic systems, disaster economics, and development trajectories, with notable work on typhoon impacts on local governance and competition dynamics in the Gold Coast slave trade.
