Jose M. Peña is a Senior Associate Professor in the Department of Computer and Information Science at Linköping University. He leads the machine learning group within the Statistics and Machine Learning division, focusing on causal inference, graphical models, and sensitivity analysis.
His research advances methodological robustness in causal modeling, particularly addressing unmeasured confounding and missing data. Recent work includes developing copula-based sensitivity frameworks and normalizing flows for counterfactual analysis. Peña teaches courses in machine learning and causal inference.
