Jose Luis Benedito Castellote is a Professor at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC). He belongs to the Department of Animal Pathology and is affiliated with the Institute of Agricultural Biodiversity and Rural Development (IBADER) and the Strategic Grouping in Sustainable Management and Production of Bioresources (BioReDes).
- Research focus: Animal metabolism and pathology through the METANIMAL research group
He received his PhD in 1986 from the University of Murcia with the thesis "Contributions to subclinical ketosis" under the supervision of Dr. Paulino García Partida. His work connects veterinary medicine with sustainable bioresource management.
