Jose Leon Alapont

Jose Leon Alapont es Professor of Criminal Law at the University of Valencia, affiliated with the Institute of Criminology and Criminal Science (ICCP) and the Global Security and Fundamental Rights research group. He has led major research projects including "Illicit Gains and Criminal Justice System: A Global Perspective" (2023-2026) funded by Spain's Ministry of Science and Innovation.

His research focuses on corporate criminal liability, compliance programs, digital crime, and fundamental rights in security contexts. His publications span 44 articles, 26 book chapters, and 6 monographs translated into Portuguese/Italian, with international presence in Brazil, Peru, Colombia, Mexico, Bolivia, and Italy.

Scientific contributions address criminal compliance, prison systems, and hate speech regulation. He has received multiple extraordinary awards for academic excellence and led educational innovation projects at the University of Valencia.
