معرفی
Joscha Teichmann is a Doctoral Researcher at the Cluster of Excellence livMatS (Freiburg Center for Interactive Materials and Bioinspired Technologies) affiliated with the University of Freiburg. His research focuses on developing self-contained compliant autonomous machines powered by endoperoxides as energy sources, leveraging shape-morphing mechanisms triggered by oxygen release. His work integrates interdisciplinary approaches from materials science, robotics, and bioinspired engineering.
His research interests include biomimetic robotics, soft robotics actuators, and energy systems design. His publications explore topics such as digital pneumatic logic for soft robotics control, plant-inspired motion mechanisms (e.g., artificial Venus flytrap demonstrators), and unit cell-based biomimetic structures.
Teichmann’s projects are funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) under Germany's Excellence Strategy. He is supervised by Prof. Dr. Thomas Speck and collaborates with teams within livMatS and the FIT center. His work contributes to advancing autonomous systems and bioinspired technologies through innovative material and mechanical designs.
