Prof. Dr. Joscha Beckmann is a Full Professor of Macroeconomics (W3) at FernUniversität in Hagen since 2021. He concurrently holds a Lecturer position at the University of Bochum and serves as a Researcher at the Kiel Institute for the World Economy (20% until 2014, 10% thereafter). His academic career includes roles as Interim Professor and Jean Monnet Professor at the University of Greifswald, as well as teaching and research positions at institutions such as the University of Duisburg-Essen, University of Freiburg, and University of Antwerp.
Education highlights include a PhD in Economics (summa cum laude) from the University of Duisburg-Essen (2008-2010), focusing on exchange rate modeling and sentiment indicators. He also holds graduate degrees in Economic Education and Economics from the University of Göttingen.
