Jos W. M. van der Meer

Professor Jos W. M. van der Meer is a distinguished academic at Radboud University Nijmegen Medical Centre, where he has served as Professor of Medicine since 1988 and Head of the Department of General Internal Medicine since 1992. He held leadership roles at the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW) as Vice President (2006–2011) and Chairman of its Natural Science Division. His career includes a sabbatical at Tufts–New England Medical Center (1987), and academic training at Leiden University, where he earned his MD (1971) and PhD (1982).
