Jordi Rovira Carballido

Jordi Rovira Carballido serves as a Professor at the University of Burgos within the Faculty of Sciences and Department of Biotechnology and Food Science. He leads the TECNOFOOD research group under the Consolidated Research Unit 073, focusing on food technology innovation.

His educational background includes a PhD from the University of Navarra (1989) with doctoral research on Rana temporaria stomach development during larval and metamorphosis stages. This biological foundation transitioned into specialized expertise in food science applications.

Dr. Rovira's research centers on food technology, food science, and biotechnology, particularly advancing methodologies in food processing and safety. He actively contributes to the Avances en Ciencia y Biotecnología Alimentarias PhD program at the University of Burgos, mentoring doctoral candidates in food-related research.
