Jordan Bisset

Jordan Bisset is a Senior Research Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition and an affiliated researcher in the Department of Management, Strategy and Innovation at KU Leuven, focusing on the intersection of innovation studies and organizational theory.

His research examines critical dimensions of R&D organization through three core lenses:

• Economic and social costs of assembling innovation teams
• Determinants of individual inventor productivity
• Strategic frameworks for multinational corporations managing cross-technological R&D portfolios

This work provides empirical foundations for optimizing innovation systems within complex organizational structures.

His methodological approach combines quantitative analysis of patent data with organizational behavior frameworks to reveal patterns in innovation ecosystems. Current projects investigate how technological diversification impacts R&D efficiency in global firms.
