Jordan A. Jefferson serves as Director of the Lynne L. Pantalena Law Library and Associate Professor of Law at Quinnipiac University School of Law, managing all library services, facilities, staffing, and teaching legal research courses including LAWS 250 Symposium: Artificial Intelligence.
Her educational background includes:
- Bachelor of Science in Communications from the University of Evansville
- Law degree from the University of La Verne College of Law
- Master’s degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Washington
Professor Jefferson's research spans critical information theory, trauma-informed services in law schools, and access to justice, with deep expertise in carceral state dynamics, human rights law, and military/veterans' issues. She actively explores intersections of criminal justice, LGBTQIA+ rights, and women's rights within legal frameworks, emphasizing technology, pedagogy, and service improvement in law libraries. Her scholarly vision positions academic libraries as agile, collaborative crossroads of community and knowledge.
She is actively engaged with the Southern New England Law Librarians' Association, Law Librarians of New England, and American Association of Law Libraries, contributing to national discourse on legal information services. As Library Director, she spearheads initiatives to create innovative, community-based learning spaces that support students' intellectual development cycles across Quinnipiac's law programs.
