Jop Groeneweg

Prof. Jop Groeneweg is a Full Professor at the Faculty of Technology, Policy and Management at TU Delft, specializing in Values, Technology and Innovation. He leads the Centre for Safety in Healthcare and holds roles as a human factors specialist at Leiden University and TNO, a member of the Gezondheidsraad (Health Council), and board member of the Tripod Foundation. His research focuses on Just Culture in organizations, psychological safety, and systemic risk prevention. He received the 2019 SPE North Sea Regional Award and was nominated for the 2020 Global SPE Award.

Education:

• Cum laude cognitive psychology degree (Leiden University, 1985)
• PhD on systemic factors in maritime incidents

Teaching: Health Safety Management in the MedTech-based Entrepreneurship minor. Labs/Teams: Centre for Safety in Healthcare.
