Jonn Are Myhren is an Associate Professor and Senior Lecturer in the Department of Construction Technology at Dalarna University's School of Information and Engineering. He coordinates the Master's program in Energy-Efficient Construction, fostering global collaboration to address sustainable building challenges. His research focuses on applied construction technology and urban planning, emphasizing sustainable solutions for energy efficiency, circularity in wood construction, and indoor climate health.
As research group leader, he leads projects such as the experimental 'Dalarnas villa' – a testing ground for sustainable building solutions. Key research areas include life cycle analysis, industrial wood applications, and decision-making frameworks for large-scale renovations.
