Jongchul Song is an Associate Professor and D. Craig and Dalene D. Nelson Cornerstone Teaching Scholar in Construction Science at Kansas State University. He holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from University of Texas at Austin (2005), M.S. from UT Austin (2002), and B.S. in Architectural Engineering from Yonsei University, South Korea. With industry experience on international construction projects, he teaches courses in construction documentation, estimating, and management.
Research focuses on:
- Construction education pedagogy
- RFID/GPS tracking of construction materials
- Infrared temperature monitoring for asphalt paving
- Prefabrication decision-making tools
Awards recognize his teaching excellence and competition coaching, including multiple ASC Region 4 student competition wins.
