Jong Sung Kim

Jong Sung Kim is an Associate Professor in the Department of Quantum and Nuclear Engineering at Sejong University. He holds a Ph.D. from Yonsei University (1997) and has extensive experience in nuclear structural analysis, welding stress, and damage mechanics.

Research Interests:

• Structural integrity of power plants
• Residual stress analysis
• Damage/fatigue/fracture mechanics

Publication Trends: Recent works focus on hybrid machine learning for irradiation damage prediction, mixed-mode fatigue crack behavior in SAPH440 materials, and advanced finite element modeling for seismic resilience in piping systems. His research combines computational methods with experimental validation.
