Dr. Jonathan Wilson is a Lecturer in Systems and Mechanical Engineering at Loughborough University. He leads the Aftrak project, developing green solar microgrids for sub-Saharan Africa, and invented the Ammonia Creation and Conversion Technology (ACCT), commercialized via EPSRC Impact Acceleration funding. His expertise spans systems architecture, automotive systems, and low-temperature catalytic reduction technologies.
Education: PhD in Low Temperature Ammonia Provision, with postdoctoral focus on systems engineering for wireless EV charging. Awards include recognition for technological innovation and motor industry achievement. Industrial collaborations include licensing ACCT intellectual property.
Research interests include sustainable energy systems, engine after-treatment, and optical diagnostics for combustion analysis. He has presented extensively at international conferences and led multiple commercialization projects.
