PD Dr. Jonathan Voges is a Senior Lecturer at the Historical Seminar of Leibniz University Hannover’s Faculty of Philosophy. His research focuses on European contemporary history (1970s–1980s), consumption history, and transnational intellectual cooperation, particularly within the League of Nations. He teaches courses on methodology of contemporary history and conservatism as a transnational phenomenon.

His work examines how practices like home improvement reflect economic shifts, gender dynamics, and social values, while his habilitation project investigates transnational academic networks during the interwar period.
His publications highlight themes such as consumer criticism, leisure as ideology, and material culture in shaping postwar German identity. Articles frequently address the do-it-yourself movement, memorial practices, and internationalism in crisis.
