Jonathan Turner

Jonathan Turner is a part-time Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Washington University. He is no longer a full-time faculty member but remains active in research, focusing on instrument design for marine monitoring, hyper-spectral analysis, and computational methods. His professional recognitions include IEEE and ACM Fellowships, as well as membership in the National Academy of Engineering.

Research Interests: Turner’s work combines environmental science and computer engineering to develop automated systems for long-term oceanic observation. He explores hyper-spectral imaging techniques for seawater analysis and contributes to algorithmic advancements in data processing. His expertise spans instrumentation design, spectral analysis, and foundational computer science disciplines such as algorithms and data structures.
