Jonathan D. Sarna is University Professor and the Joseph H. & Belle R. Braun Professor of American Jewish History at Brandeis University. He serves as Chief Historian of the Weitzman National Museum of American Jewish History and past president of the Association for Jewish Studies. An award-winning author of over thirty books on American Jewish history, his research focuses on the intersection of Jewish identity, American culture, and historical evolution. He holds fellowships in both the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and the American Academy of Jewish Research.
