Jonathan Ping

Jonathan Ping is an Associate Professor at Bond University's Faculty of Society & Design, where he researches global political economy and statecraft theory. He holds a PhD in Politics from the University of Adelaide and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Political Economy from the University of Melbourne.

His research specializes in:

• Hybridization theory of middle powers
• Great power statecraft (particularly China)
• Hegemony dynamics in Asia-Pacific
• Political economy of security

Recent publications focus on Chinese international relations theory, Belt and Road geopolitics, and party-state governance strategies, reflecting his expertise in Indo-Pacific security architecture.
