معرفی
Jonathan Patrick is a Full Professor at the Telfer School of Management, University of Ottawa, holding the Telfer Research Fellowship in Optimizing Healthcare Delivery. He earned his B.A.Sc. from McMaster University, and both M.Sc. and Ph.D. from the University of British Columbia. His research applies operations research methodologies to optimize healthcare systems, with particular focus on capacity planning, patient scheduling, and stochastic modeling.
Professor Patrick's research explores:
- Healthcare operations management through stochastic optimization and approximate dynamic programming
- Patient scheduling systems for multi-priority environments
- Disaster response logistics and resource allocation
- Pandemic-related healthcare adaptations including staff scheduling and elective admission protocols
Scientific Awards:
- Telfer Research Fellowship in Optimizing Healthcare Delivery
Professor Patrick has led significant research initiatives including a $155,000 NSERC grant for "Stochasticity in Approximate Dynamic Programming" (2020-2025) and co-investigated the $2.1M "Informing Health System Reform for Long-Term and Community Care" project (2018-2021). He maintains affiliations with INFORMS, CORS, and the Centre for Health Care Management at UBC.
