Jonathan Kay

Jonathan Kay is a Professor at UMass Chan Medical School, holding the Timothy S. and Elaine L. Peterson Chair in Rheumatology. He is affiliated with multiple institutions including T.H. Chan School of Medicine, Morningside Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, and UMass Memorial Medical Center. His clinical focus spans rheumatology, clinical investigation, and population health sciences.

Dr. Kay earned his AB in Biochemical Sciences from Harvard University and his MD from the University of California, San Francisco. His research centers on biologics and biosimilars in rheumatoid arthritis and spondyloarthritis, with significant contributions to clinical trial design, treatment guidelines, and health disparities. He has led studies on gadolinium toxicity and disease activity metrics.
