Jonathan Anderson

Jonathan Anderson is an Associate Professor of Composition and Theory in the Department of Music at Wayne State University. Originally from Minneapolis, MN, he holds a Doctor of Musical Arts in Composition (2010) from the University of North Texas, a Master of Music in Composition (2000) from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and a Bachelor of Arts in Music (1998) from Luther College.

Performances of his compositions, such as Hammer & Nail and Babel, have been commissioned globally, including at institutions like Universidad Nacional de Costa Rica and Take Root Dance Company. He teaches courses ranging from beginning composition to advanced orchestration and interactive electronic music.
