Professor Jonas F. Ludvigsson is affiliated with the Karolinska Institutet as a Professor in the Department of Medical Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Örebro University Hospital as a Senior Physician in Pediatrics, and Columbia University as an Adjunct Professor. He serves as a Scientific Advisor at the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare and Scientific Secretary of the Swedish Society of Medicine.

He investigates the gut-brain axis, cardiovascular comorbidities, and pediatric health outcomes using Swedish National Health Registers.
Recent articles reveal trends in IBD-metabolic syndrome interactions, microscopic colitis risk factors, and autism-preterm birth associations. His 2025 Solstickepriset recognized groundbreaking pediatric research.
