Jon Maass

Jon Maass is an Assistant Professor Adjunct at The Cooper Union's Irwin S. Chanin School of Architecture. As founder of maass consultancy, he specializes in cultural institution projects including the Toledo Museum of Art's Glass Pavilion, Guggenheim Museum restoration, and Kennedy Center expansion.

His professional expertise spans architectural design, construction management, and cultural facility programming. Research interests focus on museum architecture, adaptive reuse of cultural spaces, and interdisciplinary approaches to performing arts venue design.

Prior to academia, Maass contributed to significant projects including Renzo Piano's Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum expansion and Maya Lin's Neilson Library redesign, with current work involving the Museum of Nebraska Art expansion.
