Jon D. Rossini

Jon D. Rossini is a Professor in the Department of Theatre and Dance and the Graduate Group in Performance Studies at the University of California, Davis. He is also an affiliate of CAMPSSAH and has held leadership roles including Chair of his department and Graduate Group, as well as various Academic Senate positions. His work bridges scholarship, creative practice, and pedagogy in theatre and performance.

Research Interests: His primary research focuses on Latine and Latinx theatre, Puerto Rican diasporic drama, race and ethnicity in performance, dramaturgy, playwriting, and experimental critical writing. He explores the intersections of performance, historiography, identity politics, and embodied writing practices.

His recent publications and creative works reflect a sustained engagement with diasporic identities, performative writing, and political theatre. The articles span critical analysis of Latino theatre history, pedagogical frameworks, and innovative performance forms, indicating a strong commitment to both scholarly and artistic innovation.
