Jolien Hendrix is a researcher at the Faculty of Physical Education and Physical Therapy at Vrije Universiteit Brussel, specializing in chronic pain mechanisms and epigenetic factors in chronic diseases. Her work focuses on conditions like Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CVS), fibromyalgia, and post-acute COVID-19 symptoms. She leads the active project FWOTM1069: Stress Intolerance in Chronic Widespread Pain, investigating epigenetic mechanisms.
