Judge Jolie A. Russo serves as a U.S. District Court Judge and has been an adjunct professor at the University of Oregon School of Law since 2004, alongside roles at Lewis and Clark Law School. She holds a JD from Lewis and Clark Law School. With 28 years of experience in the federal judiciary, Judge Russo previously served as a staff attorney and senior staff attorney to Judges James Redden and Ann Aiken. She actively contributes to legal community boards, including the Federal Bar Association and Oregon Women Lawyers.
Her professional focus includes judicial administration, legal education, and advancing representation in the federal judiciary. As an adjunct instructor, she emphasizes practical legal training and ethical adjudication. Her career milestones highlight historical significance as the fourth woman U.S. Magistrate Judge in Oregon and seventh woman federal judge in the state since 1859.
