Johnny W. Pang

Johnny W. Pang is a Lecturer in the Department of Chemistry at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He specializes in Freshman Core Chemistry Laboratory courses (CHEM 14BL, 14CL, 20L, 30AL) and has been instrumental in integrating technology into teaching curricula since 2000.

• Developed an online exams database with 600+ questions and implemented online exams in multiple courses.
• Co-developed online writing assignments for UCLA's Calibrated Peer Review™ (CPR) program.
• Designed online tutorials and unified websites for lab courses, modernized instrumentation, and co-authored a lab textbook.

His research interests focus on Chemical Education, Curriculum Development, and Educational Technology, particularly for undergraduate lab settings. Recent publications highlight his work in Computational Chemistry and Spectral Analysis applied to time-dependent systems.
